Final thoughts for 2010, goals for 2011

The last 2010 post is here! It's not going to be a very positive one since i'm having the worst month ever but w/e, I'll make the best of it, probably will feel a lot better after typing down my goals for the next year.

I've been losing a bunch of money this month which is for me personally pretty sick to end the year like this. I'm down over $2K for the month so I have a lot of making up to do.
Quadchrazs and I finished the volumebet today and I came up short 300 games or so. I wasn't able to play during the weekend plus my ISP had problems in the area here so I couldn't play for 6 hours today because of disconnection problems.

So basically the only thing that could make me happy today was my girlfriend. Off course, Murphy's Law applies here and after the regular chitchat we had a big fight through msn (yah I know :s) and I got so extremely pissed I broke my flatscreen just out of anger. This is the second screen dying that way for this year, but at least the good thing(?) is that the last time was at the beginning of this year. I don't get mad quite easily but when I am it's party time. And the funny thing is that it's my own fault anyway. So a pissed girlfriend, major tilted so not able to play decent poker for the day and a broken screen. This def is the worst day of the year.Well, a good excuse to get the latest 24 inch monitor again, my very own christmas present.  At least now I know what to buy myself. I've spend a shitload of money on gifts but I didn't get myself anything. Maybe a new desk isn't a bad idea either now that I think about it. Oh well....

Let's just stop the rant here and talk some goals for 2011 because I need to de-tilt again.
I was at first thinking to go for SNE but that's just way too much time consuming for me. I've spent the last year playing poker and not doing enough about my social life so thats def one of the goals I have for the next year.

List of goals for 2011:

get 500K VPP
get $100K in profit
study more (prob one of my most important goals since I feel I'm stuck a lot of the time)
join a gym and actually go there :D
have a decent sleeping habit
get a decent diet (not to lose weight, but to actually gain it, I'm way to skinny)
plan better (I'm paying someone to do that for me the first few months of the year)
quit smoking (I really have to, but have to find some willpower during the year to actually do it)

I guess that's it for now, it's a lot to work on. A few things will come through the year, others I know I have to do right from the start otherwise it'll just fade away.

I know someone who started a kind of mental coaching program which I might join if that goes through. Details about that one will follow.

That's it for now, thanks for reading and I wish everyone the best of luck in the new year and happy holidays!!

Cheers,
Tune

Finished the challenge

I won the challenge!!! It was prettyu sick to finish friday night at a total profit of $995, having 5 bucks short lol.

I started 4 games today to make the bet, technically I already won because I was over 1K on friday night, but I dropped a few bucks to get under the 1K mark again.

Final graph including today's results. Total profit $1017

The next challenge will be to make the 200K VPP milestone before the end of the year, I have to make 35K-ish to get the bonus. For the 35K VPP I'll get 100Kish FPP as well, giving me an extra $1500 bonus, so the total amount will be around 5K. Pretty sick to miss out on that right at the end of the year.

I will startplaying 16s again starting from next week, will pound a decent amount of volume to get the bonus.

Still thinking about my goals for the new year, will update once I figure them all out.

That's it for now, obv my shortest post ever :P

thnx for reading, Tune

Challenge update

Well I haven't been playing as much as I wanted, resulting in less profit off course. As of now I'm up somewhere around $500, so half way there. During the weekend I'm able to get in some more games and because of the higher fish ratio in the games I can make some more profits as well.

Sharkscope updates for the past 2 days:

Day 3:

Day 4:

I'm still a little doubtfull about adding the 12 45s as well, since I've been swinging in these like a madman in the past. If I can continue running at this ROI in 3s (losing in 6s for the moment) then I will probably make it even if I play 3s alone.

Piratos send me the photos he made in Malta, Gozo and Comino. I'll upload them to an online photobook/facebook w/e when I have more time, probably next week.

My coach reasons14 has a friend who is going to Africa to help the people there. He started some sort of blog benefit which you can read here. I don't know yet if I'll make a personal donation, it depends on my december winnings I guess :)

Final update on the challenge will be on monday!

Thnx for reading

Back from Malta, started a new challenge

Malta was quite exciting, I had a great time toghether with Piratos. We enjoyed the weather, did a lot of sightseeing and off course played the pokerz.
The first few days I had a major upswing playing live cashgames, but unfortunately I lost a lot as well during the last few days on the island. Since I don't have a lot of live experience, I just took a break and played a little bit online, did some shopping and explored the island.

I went to a few real estate agents to have them find me an apartment in Malta, so I told them exactly what I was looking for, what my budget was and when I wanted to move. I also told them when I was leaving again so they could show me some apartments before I went back home. 2 days before I was leaving I got a call from one of the agents, asking me what I was looking for. Off course my first reaction was "WTF"?? I told the agent exactly what I wanted, some employee wrote it all down but now they're asking me what I'm looking for??
Telling this to the agent she replied; just look at our website, send me the reference numbers of the apartments that you like so we can take a look and see what's available. I told her that was exactly what I wanted the company to do for me so now I have so little time left I have to pass on looking for some living space for now. I'm gonna go back in january again and I'll make sure I have a huge list with references I can look at. This is the last time ever I'll rely on somebody else or the work they have to do. When I do it myself at least I know it will be done!

A completely other thing, I have had some discussions in the past with a friend of mine, who doesn't play a lot of online poker, just some friendly low stakes games with friends, who said it wasn't possible to make a decent amount of money in a short period of time if you deposit a small amount online. I said this was possible, referring to guys like Boku. His standard answer was; yeah but he's a very good player, players like you and me can't do that. So I decided to make a bet again:

If I start with $100 I can make $1k in 1 week. If I go bust I loose the bet off course. He laughed, said he'd give me 2 to 1 that I can't do it. I don't think I've ever said "ok, I'll do it" that fast in my life.

I was figuring out what would be the easiest money, the $1 45 mans seemed pretty ok for that. Made a game plan to play 45s for this week to see where it would bring me. the 45s are a liitle bit easier to multitable as well and could give me a higher roi than 9 or 18 mans. And the variance in these low stakes games isn't very high as well.

I'll be updating daily from now so you guys can follow my progress also.

First day of the challenge, on monday. Where I haven't played a bunch of games :D

I ran extremely hot in $1, but couldn't win in $3 unfortuately.

Day 2:

So day 2 went a lot better and i played a lot more games. I'm up to $250 now so I'll probably will mix in some $6.50s as well to see how they go.

Thnx for reading and GL to everyone

My stay in Malta: The first few days

I arrived late on monday evening, somewhere around 10pm. The owner of the villa was waiting for me at the airport to take me to the mansion. When I got there only Piratos was there, who went to bed quite early, because he was playing in the mini IPT event and had to play on tuesday. With just 24 players left, he had to get a good nights rest to keep his focus and concetration for the tournament.

The other players were playing cashgames at the casino so I decided to walk there to take a look.Off course I got lost, because it was dark already so I had no idea how to get to the casino. I asked everyone I met on the street how to get there, so finally I arrived at the casino without much trouble. There was a huge waitinglist for the cashgames so I played some Blackjack. I made a little bit of money and the dealer was kind enough to tip me €35 because she made a mistake paying out winnings. I didn't notice it untill we started the next hand, so that was a nice little welcome gift :)

When I went back to the villa around 3am, there was off course nobody on the street anymore to ask for directions, so I took a little detour back to the house. Fortunately I got there quite fast and went to bed.
The other players got home somewhere around 6am, who woke me up so once again I had a very short night.  When they went to bed I could sleep a few more hours and got up at 11am. Since everyone was still sleeping I went out to the city center to do some shopping and to look around a bit.

When i got back Piratos was about to go to the casino to continue the mini IPT, I went with him to watch and to play some cashgames. The cashgames were juicy with a lot of bad players and I managed to scoop a nice €600 profit in 4 hours playing NL200. I was pretty tired because I still hadn't sleep that much and have been busy all day so I went back to the villa.

I went to bed around 10pm and woke up the next morning around 8. Still, everyone else was asleep so I went shopping again, this time  went to Sliema and Valetta. Both very nice cities with a lot of shops where I bought some new shoes, new cloths and some jewelry. Back at the house Pirat told me he was at the final table for the event and was 5th in chips. Well done Piratos!

The next day Pirat went to the casino a little earlier because he had an interview for an Italian tv channel. Me and the other finish guys from the villa went over to the casino to watch Pirat play, but it was pretty hard to see since the table was at some stage and we had to sit far away on the ground floor, so we couldn't see anything. The other guys went to the city to buy some stuff and I played some more Blackjack, because it was the last day of the tournament, the EMOP day 1A started in another casino there were zero cashgames in this casino. That wasn't such a good idea because I ended up losing €500 in a few hours. Hard lesson, but I learned to not play blackjack anymore :P
I watched Pirat a little more but it was a bit boring to watch, since I couldn't see anyhting. There was no cam on the table and the talk was Italian for the most part.
Pirat come in 2nd place for a €16K payday, he lost the HU with his QT vs the TT from the chipleader.
Congrats Pirat!!

That's it for now, updates will follow!! Thanks for reading!

a bunch of things going on: poker and Malta

Been a little while since I updated so here I go:

I made a bet with Hellblood who could make the most profit and could play the most games in 4 days. Off course I hit a sick sick downswing which demotivated me from playing so i had to buy myself out of the bet.
I don't think I've ever played that bad as I did when I hit like -1K past week. My confidence, motivation, focus and skill were flushed away. Had a quick mental checkup with my coach and started studying my last few 100 games to check where I messed up. So after doing that, did some exercise, got some food and a few hours of sleep, I came back to the games and absolutely crushed everyone, with a few sessions where I ran >100% ROI in >50 games. Sample size sucks i knwo that, but it's quite good to run like this. I haven't had a losing session since then so hope i can keep this up for the remaining of the month.

I arrived in Malta yesterday. Not to live here yet, but just on a 2 week vacation. We rented a villa with a few scandinavian players who will be playing the live tournaments (EMOP/GSOP) as well. I checked out the cashgames today and played NL200 for a bit. The games are extremely soft, with a lot of bad players in them so I'll def go back for more.
One guy absolute flipped out on me because I slowrolled him when he had AA, which wasn't my intention at all. I had misread my hand, I had J9o while I thought I had J8o on a T-8-7 flop, so I flopped the nuts, not knowing it, and I took an awful amount of time thinking about his allin riverbet. When I finally decided to fold, I checked my hand and was like; oh I'm sorry, i flopped the nuts. The guy went crazy which is quite understandable I guess.

That's it for now, I'll probably gonna grind a bit online tonight and check the casino again 2moro or w/e

Came up short on my challenge

Hello everyone, here's a quick update for the last week results:

I didn't make it, shame on me :D I'm about 500 games short

couldn't play enough on thursday, hit a monster downswing on friday and saturday so got very short on games because I decided not to play that much when on a downswing.
Luckily I could come back on sunday by putting in a session where I ran at 60ish ROI
Made around 4500 in rakeback so total profit around $2K

More info on the forum

Other news, I'll be flying to Malta this week to play some live events like the EMOP and GSOP. We're staying over in some ballah villa with a few other poker players.
This is the villa: http://www.homeaway.com/vacation-rental/p403947 so that's gonna be fun for sure!!

I think I can learn a lot by being around several poker players and we can talk hands and strategy and all. I'll be back at the end of november so i'll have a greater idea about how the life in Malta is gonna be, which will ease my decision I guess.

I finally got out of my sng downswing which is great, now I'll be pounding volume to make some money. I'm just a little short of the 200K VPP bonus on stars so I will def shoot for that one as well before the end of this year!

That's it for now, thnx for reading!

2k games in 1 week

so I decided to do a challenge for myself: play 2000 games in 1 week at the $16 18 mans level.

Started this monday so I will have till sunday to complete. So far I've played 500-ish games so a bit off track but will make up for it in the next few days. I feeling very comfortable at the moment regarding my poker game so I'm def going for it.

I didn't bet anything on or didn't take action because I know there are a lot of players who are doing this on a common basis :)

I'll see what I can accomplish in this week and maybe I will put a some sicko bet for some other time, like 10K games in 1 month or something like that.

More info on my challenge and graph updates etc can be found here

thnx for reading,

Still home, things aren't going according plan

Hi guys,

It's been a wile since I updated my blog so it's def time to do so.
I'm still at home, not in Malta which suck big time, but I had some problems with the apartment and stuff so my plans have changed a bit. I'm still looking for an apartment and decided to look for a bigger one, whch will be a little more money rentwise but with the extra time I have now I can grind out a lot more.
Me and my ex girlfriend sorta have contact again and she still don't want me to go and I'm in doubt now. She changed a lot in a positive way so it's going great at the moment, which is clouding my decision a bit. Why can't she just go with me? It would be the ideal solution.

Pokerwise I've been swinging big time. The first 2 weeks of the past month were quite good, the second 2 weeks I started with a sick upswing but couldn't win afterwards, so I broke even. I'm planning on playing 2K games this week to see how that goes and if it goes well I'llp ut in some massive volume for this month.

I started coaching for a new website, sitnpoker.com, which is a new poker school website. It's just starting but the guys are extremely nice to work with, the website team as well as all of the memebers. I haven't had much time the past 2 weeks so I really have to make some time for them again, just have had some personal issues which I won't put out here, but that's over now so I will have more time.
For everyone who's interested, I will be doing group coaching on tuesdays and thursdays at 8 pm CET, so if you're willing to join check out the website.

that's it for now, I will keep updating!

cheers

Malta countdown!!

It's time to start counting down for Malta. I will be leaving october 5th so that's just 9 days away.
I rewatched the dvd "The Secret" again, which is about the power of positive thinking. I'm a pretty straightforward guy, I'm like "seeing is believing" before I take anything from anyone.

When I was still working at my last job, the whole company policy was based on the power of positive thinking. I had a seminar where the manager told me to visualize my goals, by getting a whiteboard and writing goals down, put up pictures of my goals, etc. So I did, I wrote down my short term goals and put up pictures for my longterm goals.
The first picture which I put on my whiteboard was this one:

That is almost 2 years ago. When I quit working I hung my whiteboard on the wall above my computer, still having that picture on it. Now, that dream is coming true. I'm moving to a place where I can relax, living the life I've always wanted. It's not exactly Bora Bora, where the picture is from, but it's close.
So now I will take the power of positive thinking even more seriously, since it's definately working for me.

Yesterday I got crushed at the 18s, resulting in a little loss. That's okay, I need to get in some volume to make a for it again. I set a goal for myself to play 2K games from the 27th to the 4th, dates where  can play with a bit because I have the excuse that I need to do other stuff as well for moving, so maybe the date will be somewhat later then the 4th.
Anyway, I'm so not on track, I've played only 70 games so far, which is quite bad. I had a pretty rough weekend by having no time at all to play and not being home much. So I will have to make up for it in the coming days for this week.

Haven't had much time for the forum as well, so that needs a bit more attention as well. We have a new MTT coach who is doing quite well at the moment so the community is growing bigger and bigger everyday.

That's it for now, will update soon!

woensdag 22 september 2010

Malta is so in my head right now that I completey forgot to talk about poker in my last post lol.

The games are going guite well at the moment, I'm up way above the goal I've set for these next two weeks so therefore no complaints.
I'm feeling well, eating a bit better and playing well so I'm sure I can hit my goal for the end of the month.

I haven't played as much as I wanted to yesterday because I went out to but some sporting clothes and a new mp3 player. As soon as I got home I had to test out the new products off course so decided to go for a run. I knew it was gonna get though because I havent done anything regarding to sports in the last 3 years. I ended my running session after about 15 minutes because I had to catch my breath again.

Today I can hardly walk because of the muscular pain in my legs. I'm not complaining about it though because it's good to have something to do in the outside air and get my mind off of poker for at least a few minutes a day. My health is going to get a lot better as well and after a few running sessions my muscles will get used to it.

I got another book recommended by my coahc called Peak Performance Poker, which I will order as soon as I get to Malta, otherwise it will be delivered at my old address so that won't be any good. My coach told me it was a great add-on for The Poker Mindset so I'm quite curious about the book.

Regarding tiltcontrol I'm working in the right direction. I downloaded a bunch of relaxation music, like ocean waves, rainforest rain, all kind of animal sound and rain-and thunderstorms sounds. I also got a collection of Asian relax music, which is often used in yoga exercises. To give some idea about it:

Maybe it's a bit weird, but I find it helps me a lot to see the game in a better perspective and to get my tilt under control.

Running way above average ROI atm so proof that it works for me has been shown :)

Dreams....

"Dream as if you'll live forever, live as if you'll die today" (James Dean)

These words have been in my mind for several years now. I've done a lot of things in my life which I wouldn't have if I haven't thought about these particular words.
One of the people on my msn stated in his nickname: "If you want dreams....Take a nap"
I responded to that by saying: "I will never sleep again"
I don't want to "achieve" my dreams by going too sleep and live the life I really want when I'm dreaming. I want it to happen in real life.
A lot of times you will have a talk with someone and you're telling them about what you would want to happen in your life. A lot of times people will laugh and say: Yeah, just keep on dreaming man....
But why should that be a dream? Why can't it be achievable? It's all up to yourself and what you do about it. You control your own life. There is no one in the world who will set up your life the way you want it to be.
lol, I feel like some internet scheme sales man by writing this to be honest :)

A few years ago I was on vacation in Spain and had the chance to do a bungee jump. This was one of the things I just had to do because it was a once in a lifetime opportunity. If I haven't done it then, I would regret it for the rest of my life and probably dreaming about taking the jump...

The same thing goes for moving to Malta. There are certain things I'd like to see different in my life and have thought about that for a long long time and it's just not going to change if I stay.
It's clear to me that I won't be living a happy life when I'm at home. People here are satified what they've got, they don't care or simply don't want to know what's more out there.
I've always dreamed about seeing the world, visit other places, meeting new people, live a life where I actually find myself happy with. It's time to stop dreaming and start doing.

Malta is coming closer and closer and I've set some goals for myself when I get there. The first thing would be to stop smoking and stop drinking so much cafeine. Next thing will be to go running and/or do some other sport activity. I'm on a diet of coffee and cigarettes for the past 3 years, haven't done anything regarding sports so my psychical health isn't at its top to say the least.

I will change my life drastically to make myself feel good and Malta is going to help achieve that a lot. I know these goals are hard and they won't happen overnight, but it's something to work on. People can do so much by themselves, that I know I can do it too.

I'll keep you updated. Thanks everyone for reading

Need to gain more confidence in my games and in life

"If you have low confidence, then it can be a real barrier to success"

This is so true. I see it in my own life and in my own games. By being low confident at the moment, it's just impossible for me to play poker in a decent way and move up in stakes. The same thing goes for my life, although I'm extremely excited to move to Malta, I'm a little scared to make it when I'm there. Every day it's coming closer, I'm thinking more and more about what will happen if I can't make it when I'm there, while at first I was overconfident about moving and even a bit cocky about it to my friends.

I talked about this with a mental coach for a bit and she realy put things in perspective for me by giving a few examples about another poker player how to deal with everything.

I never have had any problems giving up everything I have here and move on to start something new elsewhere, and I still don't, but I have a little doubt about how things will go when I'm actually over there. I have some expectations and I'm a little worried about what will happen when they don't come out are if things are completely different when I get there. I have no idea why I'm thinking like that and I really should just get it out of my system. I'm feeling a lot of pressure since everyone will be watching me but I really shouldn't care about other people's opinion.
So I guess I will come over that as soon as I get there, I'm just not sure anymore what to expect and what is expected from me. Then again, I shouldn't be thinking about other people. If Malta isn't the way to be, I can always move on or go back and I won't ever have to think about the "what if..."

I'm getting the book Dusty "leatherass" Schmidt wrote about treat your poker like a business, because I need to get to that point where I really can see poker as my business.
I've been self-employed before and at that time I have had losing days as well, it just didn't affect me as much as poker does. I'm sure I can deal with losses in poker much much better when I'm thinking about it as a business, which will result in better play, less variance, less gross downswings, more profits and more confidence.

The confidence is extremely important to have, as well in life as in poker, because it's affecting both factors the other way around.

What I need to do for myself as well is setting some mid- and long term goals and actually take them in account the day I set them. I really need to stop focusing on my short term goals and short term poker. A losing day or even a losing week is nothing compared to the long run in poker. I wrote this down actually so this is at my attention every day.

The forum is up and running and people are subscribing every day. I need to fine tune it still a bit so I've got enough to do related to poker, without actually playing.

I should be getting back to my games though cause putting time in the website and the forum didn't do any good to my hourly poker goal, so I will have to put in some extra time to make up for it and hit the weekly goal for this week.

I'll keep you updated, thanks for reading

New website is live!

I've been working on a website, which went live this week.
It's basically a rakeback site, but in the forum players can get coaching and staking deals as well.
Still a lot of work to do regarding the site and the forum, but that's gonna be allright. Put in some time to fine tune everything so it all looks slick and neat.
The website can be found here and the forum can be found here

Malta is coming coser and closer, I've started giving away a lot of my stuff which I'm notta gonna bring anyways, so might as well mae someone else happy with it. Although I'm excited about it, it's not on my mind a lot. I guess that will come when the end of the month is nearing and I really have to go.

My pokergame has been terribly off, resulting in bad play plus a little bit of variance so my graph went down. Have done a lot of studying the past few days and had a session with my coach yesterday to put some things in perspective again. Have confidence in my game again and it went pretty well yesterday.

I went in "lockdown" mode yesterday to get in some hours and make up for the games I've been missing while I was studying. Lockdown will continue for the rest of this week, including the weekend and maybe some days next week as well.

That's it for now, will be back soon. Thanks for reading :)

It's been a while

Well here I am again, it's been a few days since I posted and I promised  keep this blog up to date.

Me movig to Malta will be at the end of this month, I had contact with some brokers and need to check for living space soon. It will be in the Sliema area and I think I'm in love with the appartments at the beach, where you can dive into the sea just by openen your balcony doors :)

My friend got married the past week and we had a huge party to celebrate it and I'm having a housewarming party from another friend this weekend, so I haven't had much time to play poker the past few weeks, including this week. My results for the past week are terrible, variance has a lot to do with it, but therefore I'm playing bad as well and I have to find my A-game to get things up and running again. It shouldn't be very hard, but I'm having trouble concentration at the moment, so maybe it's a good idea to take a little break and do something fun.

The concentration problems are als due to the fact that I still have a lot to do before I can move, so I'm constantly thinking about all kinds of stuff, instead of thinking poker at the tables. Maybe I'll drive to the beach today or tomorrow to make a long walk just to clear my head a bit. That has been working for me in the past when I had my brains working against me this way.

Anyway, I just have to find my pokergame and play my best, fully focussed. I will keep you guys updated.

Cheers

Moving to Malta

Finally it's going to happen: I'm moving to Malta. After thinking about it for almost a year now and having some heavy doubts to move or not to, I got in contact with someone who moved there 3 years ago.
When he explained all the advantages of the island, it wasn't a hard choice after all.

I will be moving in september, just have to see if I can make it the first week or that it will be at the end of the month. I still have some things to do over here before I can completely let everything behind me.

I'm very excited about doing it, it has always been my dreams to move to a different country, where the weather is a lot better than here, live on (near) the beach and do all the things I ever wanted, like diving, swim with dolphins, learn how to surf and a lot of other things.

I've always been a guy who loves the beach, the sea and sunshine (who doesn't? ;)) but over here it's almost a 2 hour drive to get to the beach and then off course the weather is always a question mark.
As of now we're in the middle of summer and it's only 19 degrees and raining. In Malta it's 29 degrees with only a few clouds.
In winter time the temp will drop to about 12 degrees, which is a lot nicer than the -10 we get over here sometimes.

A lot of famous poker players are also settled in Malta, so maybe I can get in contact with one of them and talk some hands and strategy :D

Weekend break

So I took a break from playing poker this weekend, since I had a bachelor party again and I needed a lot of rest since I haven't slept very much the past week.

The bachelorparty was fun, we went waterskiing which looked quite simple, but really wasn't.
After a few tries I finally managed to keep standing, the next hard part was to turn. The first time didn't went well, I took the inner curve which left me with zero tension on the rope, so I slowly sank down. The second try went a lot better, taking the outer turn but I the rope got pulled out of my hands and I hit the water with such a decent speed I hurt my leg pretty bad so I was done for the day. We went for a nice BBQ with a lot of beer so that was a lot of fun as well. I had a huge headache due to all the water I swallowed through my nose during waterskiing, ended up in bed around 3am and slept till 1pm the next day.
Didn't have to do anything crazy again. When the bride had her bachelorette party, we as gents had to wait a while before they got home. Because waiting is extremely boring, I came up with a jackass type of idea which had a stapler in it. We made some props and I had to staple myself:

So for the resting part it's going ok again, I just have to manage to keep it up now for the rest of the week.
I have to work pretty hard to get my 4K games in for this month which will be hard to reach, especially since my girlfriend has a 3 week vacation so we'll be doing some stuff toghether next week. I planned a 2 day trip to the sea since the weather will be good and it's a great excuse to get some rest and clear my mind from  the everyday home stuff.

Haven't done a lot with my forex account and won't be doing much the next week either, since my girlfriend and poker will be more important. Did manage to get my account up to 17K just before the market close last friday.

Poker wise I finally managed to get my ROI up a decent percentage, so with the proper amount of sleep and rest I hope I can manage the same ROI and move up in limits.
My tiltcontrol got a lot better, I care much and much less about beats etc, if the play was correct I'm just happy regardless of the outcome.

Looking into forex

Poker is going well this past weeks, running pretty good in the 18 mans. I managed to get a bit better with my tilt control so that's helped a lot, and I got better in bubble play, which is also a lot better for my profits.

Decided to take a look into the forex markt and started off with a demo account. I deposited $10K and after a few days I'm up 5K. Will be doing some testing and will be learning the basic strategies for the next 3 weeks before I will deposit some real $$ to check if I can trade profitably.

Had a very nice weekend with my girlfriend, we went out to catch the movie Inception, which was ok, only a bit long. Before we went to the movie we went to the casino, just to take a quick look if there were any players I'd used to play with in my live poker days. Turns out there weren't many, a lot of new faces. Maybe I'd shouldn't have stayed away for almost 2 years :)
I didn't play any poker, but a little blackjack and the casino was nice enough to give me a little profit so they've paid my night out :P

This week I will be looking for some living space and a car. I hate the fact that I don't have any decent transportation at the moment so I really need to get one.

For the weekend I have another bachelor party. we'll be going wakeboarding and afterwards it's BBQ time so that's gonna be a lot of fun.

Finally starting a blog!

So I finally decided to start a blog.
Have done so in the past but now Im sticking to it. I know I've said that before but it's time to get something going.

Am playing the 18 mans at the moment which is going ok for now.
Monthly goals are to improve my game a lot off course and to get to 4K games a month.
Got a coach to help me improve a lot quicker than when I'd do it on my own and to be honest I need someone who can tell me I'm a donk or doing something wrong every now and then :)

Still searching for a new place but can't find anything that I like right now. I was offered a very nice place in Malta but since my girlfriend disagrees on living there that's out of the question. So still looking, same thing for a nice car. Since I like cars very much, I'd like to have a decent one. Disadvantage of that is the price for a used one. Under 10K it's just hard to fine one that'll please me. Need the transport though, but I think it's just not worth it buying a cheap car, have very high costs on it and postpone my "dreamcar" due to the fact I had to put a lot of money in the cheap car if that makes any sense.

Well that's it for now, and although no one is reading this blog yet, thanks for reading!
